Evol created brand new stencils for Nuart Aberdeen 2019, spending 4 days transforming grey mundane electric boxes into mini tower blocks across Aberdeen. Locations include; The Green, Marischal College, Queen Street and two on Rosemount Viaduct (outside Noose & Monkey and His Majesty's Theatre) and Castle Street (outside Brewdog).
Inspired by architecture which the artist sees as a mirror for society, Evol utilizes multi-layered stencil techniques to create unique pieces of art.
Evol is interesting in illustrating urban lives of ordinary people inspired by the unstable history of Berlin, especially in post-war socialist architecture in former East Germany. Consequently, Evol's work show grey and functional buildings with Brutalist architecture creating a realistic looking buildings, a city within a city especially in close up photographs.
