Aberdeen Restaurant Week 2020
Aberdeen Restaurant Week returns for 2020! The popular event will run from Monday 24th February - Sunday 1st March 2020 and we are now looking for Aberdeen city centre eateries to sign up to be a part of the event. Nuart Aberdeen alumni makes the list for the best murals of 2019 in the world!
We are delighted to see that Nuart Aberdeen 2019 alumni STRØK (Anders Gjennestad) has made the list for the best murals of 2019 by Street Art Today! Nuart Aberdeen is a festival unlike any other in the UK and the universal support and affection it holds in the hearts of locals and visitors alike is incredible. Aberdeen Inspired boss calls for yearly Scot Gov cash to breathe new life into cities
Through the Scottish City BID Group we have pushed for the Scottish Town Centre funding to be extended to cities earlier this year, resulting in £1.3 million being secured for the city. It is our ambition for this to continue and while the Scottish Town Centre Fund is not annualised we would like to see this become the case, with BIDs and city councils working closely together to deliver more projects of this nature. First two acts announced for Aberdeen International Comedy Festival 2020!
Set to raise an eyebrow or two our first headline act is none other than Scotland’s favourite viral comedy sensation Gary Meikle. Returning to play his biggest city gig to date at Aberdeen’s Music Hall on Friday 2nd October Gary’s tour show is aptly named Surreal! Also announced for the opening weekend is Tez Ilyas who in his first three years as a stand up found himself in no less than eight competition finals including the prestigious BBC New Comedy Award and Leicester Mercury New Comedian of the Year. First formal meeting for Night-Time Commission
We are delighted to be hosting the first formal Night-Time Commission meeting on 30 January 2020, as part of the Alive After Five strategy. The commission is another first for Scotland and aims to ensure the development of the cities night-time economy. More here

Over a thousand people descended upon the Aberdeen Christmas Village on Tuesday December 17 for the annual Festive Fun Day. In the biggest uptake yet, a wide range of community groups, north-east charities, schools and people with additional needs were invited by organisers Aberdeen Inspired to enjoy some Christmas magic in the festive heart of the city centre.
