Fred MacAulay returns to Aberdeen with Good Evening!, an updated stand-up show packed with his trademark observations on life, family and the world around him.
After a freak accident and subsequent cancer diagnosis forced Fred to cancel his 2025 Edinburgh Fringe shows and autumn tour, the veteran Scottish comedian is back doing what he loves most – performing live stand-up.
Now in the fourth decade of his comedy career, Fred has entertained audiences around the world through stand-up, television and radio. From almost 18 years as a guest on BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz to appearances on Celebrity Mastermind and Celebrity MasterChef, he has plenty of stories to draw on – although family life, current events and his new role as a grandfather are likely to provide just as much material.
Described by Kevin Bridges as “an elite comedian” and by the Sunday Times as “rib-achingly funny”, Fred brings Good Evening! to The Lemon Tree for two nights as part of Aberdeen Comedy Festival 2026.
