The magic of Christmas in Aberdeen becomes even more sparkling from this weekend when the curtain goes up on not one, but three spectacular pantos in the heart of the Granite City.
With Sleeping Beauty at His Majesty’s, Rapunzel at Aberdeen Arts Centre and Beauty And The Beast at The Tivoli, fans of fun-packed, family-friendly festive treats will be spoiled for choice for the coming weeks.
And the trio of top shows will be enchanting for the city centre too, with many families and fans having a meal out before the show – with some even making an overnight stay of it.

Sleeping Beauty sees Gary: Tank Commander headlining the fun and games in this all-singing, all-dancing, all-laughing take on traditional fairy story as Prince Charming tries to break the evil spell and wake Princess Aurora from her 100-year slumber.
Joining Gary will be HMT panto favourites Alan McHugh s Nurse Nellie Macduff, PJ Corrigan as Slimeball and Aberdeen’s own rising star Danielle Jam as the Spirit of Christmas. Sleeping Beauty runs from Saturday, 2nd December, to Sunday, 7th January. You can find more information and tickets here.

Over at Aberdeen Arts Centre, TaleGate Theatre will offer up the hair-raising and hair-larious adventures of Rapunzel from Friday, 1st December, to Christmas Eve.
This spellbinding story follows Rapunzel as she escapes from her tower – and the evil Queen Gothel – to have the most amazing day ever. Expect a tangled tale to delight all ages, with pop songs, magic and puppets. Find out more and buy your tickets here.

There’s a beast of a panto settling in at the Tivoli from Friday, 1st December to Friday, December 22 with Beauty And The Beast.
This tale as old as time comes from the highly-talented local crew at Attic Theatre. They will bring to life the adventures of Bonnie, who trades places to save her dad from being the captive of a selfish beast.
