One of the biggest names on the UK comedy circuit is returning Aberdeen International Comedy Festival this October.

For one night only Scotland’s international comedy star, Daniel Sloss, will take to the Music Hall stage along with some other totally superb stand-up friends as part of the north-east’s hugely successful and popular Aberdeen International Comedy Festival.

Daniel Sloss joins the growing line-up of world class acts including David O’Doherty, Jack Dee, Milton Jones, Harry Hill and Jerry Sadowitz heading to the city when the festival makes a welcome return, after a two-year gap, from 6 to 16 October 2022.

Commenting on the news Shona Byrne, festival manager said “Daniel Sloss is incredible live and a firm favourite with festival audiences, so it’s brilliant news that he’s coming back with some friends to headline this October. He has gained an extensive following of devoted fans wherever he performs and tickets for his shows always sell fast.

“I’m sure there will be much excitement about which of his ‘friends’ will join him. Personally, I’m hoping we get a good mix of his best comedy buddies and perhaps see some new rising stars hot off the back of the Fringe, but who knows! One thing’s for sure is that it will be extremely funny, probably rather rude and a one-off night of cracking comedy.”

Daniel was the biggest ticket selling comedian in the world for most of 2021, has sold out six New York solo off-Broadway seasons, appeared on U.S TV’s ‘Conan’ ten times, broken box office records in Edinburgh and toured in 53 countries.

Daniel’s two specials ‘DARK’ & ‘Jigsaw’ are streaming on Netflix in 190 countries, 26 languages with the infamous ‘Jigsaw’ now credited with breaking up over 120,000 couples and cited in over 300 divorces world-wide (some fans even bringing their divorce papers for him to autograph at shows). His extraordinary ‘X’ tour sold out 300 live shows across 40 countries, with the film version (currently on HBO in U.S. and Canada) becoming the first UK comedy special to make its UK premiere in cinemas, with a nationwide release at Vue.

Daniel Sloss & Friends will perform at the Music Hall, Aberdeen on Friday 14 October, 7.30pm. Fans can take advantage of an Early bird ticket price of £25 until 31 May 2022 after which they rise to £27.50 (excluding booking fee).

The comedy festival will run at a multitude of city venues, bars and clubs over the course of 11 days from Thursday 6 October until Sunday 16 October 2022.

More acts will be announced soon. For more information on the full Aberdeen International Comedy Festival line-up and to buy tickets go to www.aberdeencomedyfestival.com
