Spectra – Scotland’s Festival Of Light – will burst into glorious life in the heart of Aberdeen next week as it marks it's 10th anniversary.

This fantastic event is expected to draw 140,000 visits into the Granite City for the run of the festival from Thursday, 8th February to Sunday, 11th February, offering a major boost for city centre businesses.

A number of road closures and restrictions will be introduced by Aberdeen City Council to accommodate Spectra, which will see iconic buildings and locations transformed, from a colossal network of light globes inspired by the human brain in Union Terrace Gardens to a flock of luminous butterflies in Aberdeen Art Gallery, dazzling dance-led projection across HMT and an enormous glitterball love heart at Marischal Square.
