A bit about yourself & a fun fact!
My name is Caitlin and I am a 20 year old digital marketing student from RGU. Fun fact about me is I am a big fan of cringy romcoms but have decided to watch 365 “actually good” films in 2022 in order to get out of this rut. So far my favourites have been Moonrise Kingdom and Taxi Driver but I really hated Blade Runner… Sorry Harrison ☹
Why did you apply for Aberdeen Inspired?
I have a fear of ending up in a job that I’m not passionate about, but who isn’t passionate about supporting city centre businesses and encouraging people to buy local in their hometown! There is a massive variety of exciting projects which I have the opportunity to help out with, and each day is different which is ace! Other than that, the casual office environment sounded like a lovely place to work for my first job. So far, the team have been great in teaching me everything I want to know, so I definitely think I made the right choice.
What do you hope to learn whilst at AI – anything you want to focus on specifically?
I am really interested in what it takes to run a successful business like Aberdeen Inspired and am eager to try to help out with all aspects possible. So far, I have been told I will be assisting with the running of the Aberdeen Gift Card and other exciting projects. Picking up hand on digital marketing skills will be what I hope to learn most, but AI also feels like the perfect environment to foster more personal skills too 😊
