MEET THE STALLHOLDERS AT CURATED IN THE QUAD - 13-23 JEWELLERY

Can you tell us more about you and why you set up the company?

My name is Jacqui and in 2016 13-23jewellery was born. It was my husband who chose the name which is always a talking point. 13 is our wedding anniversary and 23 was the date we were both born.

Can you tell us about the products you are selling at Curated In The Quad?

I design affordable sterling silver jewellery with seaglass from Aberdeen beach.

I recently have a newfound passion of beachcombing (to search for and collect objects such as seashells and driftwood along the seashore). I use the pieces I collect to use in my jewellery designs.

I have also just finished a silversmith course and in 2024 i'm going to be working on exciting new pieces to add to my collection incorporating seaglass I've beachcombed for on our beautiful local beach.

Why did you decide to take part in this year’s Curated In The Quad?

I've worked with Charlie House HQ long before Curated In The Quad was created and I attended charity events with my jewellery.

Every year since Curated In The Quad has been at Marischal College Quad I've attended and I love the friendly Christmas vibe bringing Aberdeen people together.

I can't think of a more beautiful venue for Curated In The Quad and when the people of Aberdeen enter they all get their phones out to take photos and selfies.

I also feel very passionate about Charlie House. It's such a worthy charity. The team behind the scenes work so hard and are also full of passion.

What are you looking forward to at Curated In The Quad?

There's a fabulous line up of small businesses and local crafters, something for everyone and its great to see people supporting local. I am also looking forward to see team from Codonas, they always do a good job decorating and swing by to see how we are all getting on
