Meet George Mackenzie, Operations Manager at Cheerz.

Cheerz is Aberdeen’s longest running LGBTQ+ venue, and has been running for over 10 years now!

Cheerz has recently become a hybrid venue after being granted a late night liquor license and now offers a relaxed atmosphere during the afternoon suitable for an older generation offering a wide range of non-alcoholic and hot drinks then later in the evening offering live entertainment 7 nights a week - ideal for students or those out for a boogie! However, the real party begins at the weekend where you can expect drag queens and karaoke, as well as heading up to the nightclub upstairs which has an LED dance floor! 🕺💃

This is also the first year Cheerz are hosting acts for Aberdeen International Comedy Festival and George told us he “couldn’t wait to host something different, and it will be great to have a good buzz and see people laughing” 🤩
