Heart of our City Gallery
Calling all the city’s creative kids! Have you ever wanted to transform a building into your own special work of art? Well now’s your chance! This Easter we have a cracking competition for you. We want children of all ages to colour, create and design works of art onto some of the Aberdeen’s most iconic city centre buildings. Want to transform Marischal College into a monster, or the Music Hall into a giant piano? Simply download one (or all) of building templates and colour, design and create your work of art.
Whilst the city’s residents, workers and businesses rightly follow the social distancing rules put in place by the government we are putting in place a series of initiatives aimed at keeping the importance and beauty of our city centre at the front of peoples minds.
We are launching this Heart Of Our City campaign with a drawing competition for kids during their Easter Holidays.
To enter show us your best design on one (or all!) of our building templates and email your entry to info@aberdeeninspired.com or send up a photo of your entry via social media, tagging @abdninspired and #heartofourcity. Winners will be selected at the end of the school holidays, with prizes including cinema tickets from the Belmont Filmhouse, pizza making at Mac's Pizzeria and tickets to a pantomime at His Majesty's Theatre during the festive period!
Please remember to tell us your name, age and provide a contact email or phone number.
We will create a ‘gallery’ of all the entries on our social media channels using the hashtag #heartofourcity so keep an eye out for the wonderful, colourful designs we get.
T&C's:
1. Be sure to get your entry in 5pm on Monday 20 April 2020. 2. Remember to provide name, contact info and age. 3. You can make as many submissions as you like. 4. Our judges decision is final. 5. There’s no cash alternative to the prizes offered, but who’d want to give up pizza, a movie and the panto anyway? 6. All submissions will be displayed on our online competition gallery (as long as they are not offensive in any way). 7. Winners will be publicized so make sure you take a photo of yourself with your submission. 8. Have fun!
