Acclaimed brewers Fierce Beer are saying cheers to Nuart Aberdeen with an exclusive brew to celebrate the return of Scotland’s national street art festival to the Granite City next week.

The special Fierce x Nuart Aberdeen Galaxy IPA is branded in an eye-catching can with purple artwork, riffing on the theme of this year’s festival – Poetry Is In The Streets.

There is even a “blank wall” on the can for art and beer fans to create their own mini-mural to share on their socials for the chance of winning a Fierce Beer gift card.

Nuart Aberdeen curator Martyn Reed has already tried his hand, penning a few words on one can to say: “The magic of drink, like art, is that it has the power to turn our pain into poetry”.

The beer, a juicy, fruity IPA, is available now ahead of Nuart Aberdeen – staged by Aberdeen Inspired with Aberdeen City Council, supported by Finnies – kicking off on Wednesday, April 22, and running to Sunday, April 26.

Mark McAulay, Marketing Manager for Fierce Beer, said: "Fierce has always been about making something worth paying attention to, and Nuart Aberdeen does exactly the same thing on a city-wide scale.

“We wanted to mark the festival with a beer that felt as considered as the art it celebrates, and the blank wall on the can felt like the right way to hand that over to the people who actually make Nuart what it is. We can't wait to see what people do with it."

Adrian Watson, chief executive of Aberdeen Inspired, said: “They do say brewing is an art, so this collaboration between Fierce and Nuart Aberdeen is the perfect pairing as Scotland’s national street art festival bursts into life again.

“We are also delighted to have the support and passion of Fierce for Nuart Aberdeen and helping put it front and centre for their customers and beer fans everywhere.

“The enthusiasm from Fierce also underlines the recognition Nuart Aberdeen has as part of the fabric of the Granite City, both in terms of the legacy art it leaves and the people it brings into the city centre all year round.”

The Poetry Is In The Streets beer will be available in the Fierce Bar at Exchequer Row – as well as their Edinburgh bar on Rose Street, as well as other local outlets including Westhill Service Station and Inverurie Whisky Shop.

It can also be ordered online at the Fierce Beer website fiercebeer.com

Budding artists can let their imagination run riot with the can’s blank wall, before sharing their masterpiece on socials, tagging @FierceBeer and @nuartaberdeen. Three winners will be drawn on April 27, each bagging a £10 Fierce Beer Gift Card.

Nuart Aberdeen 2026 will see 13 acclaimed artists transforming walls and spaces across Aberdeen from Chapel Street Car Park to the Ibis Hotel. It will officially open on Wednesday, April 22, at 8pm at Bon Accord Baths with the unveiling of Robert Montgomery’s signature illuminated work. Free to all.
