Challenge yourself – and your family and friends – to get into the Christmas spirit with Aberdeen’s re-imagined sculpture trail that returns to the city from this Friday (1 December).
The 12 festive wooden sculptures will be dotted across the city centre by Aberdeen City Council.
Each will have a special QR code that opens to festive characters – including a seagull and Spotless, the council’s mascot - when scanned on a mobile device.
If you solve all the Christmas challenges, you can claim a festive treat at Provost Skene’s House by showing your completed sculpture trail on your device.
Adrian Watson, chief executive of Aberdeen Inspired, said: “The Christmas Challenge Sculpture Trail is a fun-filled festive treat for all the family and will help bring even more people into the city centre at this special time of year.
“And once they have claimed their treat at Provost Skene’s House, they can go on to enjoy the Aberdeen Christmas Village and Curated In The Quad, the festive market staged by Aberdeen Inspired and Charlie House and all the other great attractions and businesses in the city centre.”

Aberdeen Lord Provost, Dr David Cameron, said: “The Christmas trail will add some extra free fun to Aberdeen’s festive offering as we approach Christmas.
“Discovering the characters and solving the challenges on the trail will be something that people of all ages can enjoy, while also admiring and soaking up the festive atmosphere throughout the city centre.”
Provost Skene’s House will be open Monday-Saturday: 10am – 5pm and Sunday: 11am – 4pm. The trail will be available to complete until Christmas Eve.
