The village is back bigger and better sprinkling a little bit of winter magic on the city centre! This year the village covers Upperkirkgate and Broad Street, offering festive fun for the whole family including: Christmas in the Quad, an open air ice rink, festive fairground rides, Santa’s Grotto, and festive drinks and treats!

With a unique offering each weekend the market is showcasing both new and established brands, bringing you a high quality offering for your festive shopping. Restaurateurs encouraged to get involved with Aberdeen Restaurant Week 2019
City centre restaurants are being urged to showcase their culinary delights and sign up for the third Aberdeen Restaurant Week (4 – 10 Feb 2019) The pricing structure consists of a two-course lunch priced at £10 per person and three-course dinner for £20 per person.Nearly 40 restaurants signed up to the last Aberdeen Restaurant Week and organisers hope to make the event even better for 2019.

Ben Elton to open 2019 Aberdeen Comedy Festival
Making a triumphant return to the stand-up scene after nearly 15 years, the legendary Ben Elton is set to open the 2019 Aberdeen Comedy Festival on Thursday 3 October. Presented by Aberdeen Performing Arts, Ben Elton’s date joins Aberdeen Inspired’s stellar comedy festival line-up recently announced for 2019 which includes internationally acclaimed stand-up comedians Jimeoin and Daniel Sloss. The 2019 festival looks set to be the biggest and best celebration of comedy the north-east has ever seen. Find out more here >

Our Christmas campaign this year focuses in on a family meeting in the city centre to experience all that Aberdeen has to offer, including festive shopping, eating and drinking and the Christmas Village. We wanted to showcase the city centre as a meeting point for loved ones to make lifelong memories together. Nuart Aberdeen wins ‘Best Cultural Event’ at Aberdeen City and Shire Tourism Awards
Our city’s walls have provided the perfect stage from which to showcase world class street art for everyone to discover for free and at their leisure all year round . This win puts Nuart Aberdeen through as a National Finalist for Best Cultural Event at the Scottish Thistle Awards in March 2019 in Edinburgh. More here >

Aberdeen businesses are Stepping In with the Music Hall
Businesses around Union Street are being invited to display ‘Stepping In’ window stickers to celebrate Aberdeen’s historic and much-loved Music Hall re-opening its doors to the public this weekend. Aberdeen Inspired wins at the Aberdeen EcoCity Awards 2018!
The Urban Bee Project took home the Judges’ EcoCity Award – The Innovative Entry award at the ceremony in November. The Urban Bees project, in partnership with ADA, hopes to encourage businesses to engage in environmental issues, to improve understanding and to inspire positive action. Moving forward, plans are in place to engage with local schools to promote the educational benefits of the project and the importance of biodiversity in Aberdeen. Find out more here >
