For Hama Wood's mural she created a leopard, the symbol of Aberdeen and added some cheeky rats and pulleys. Difficult wall to paint but actually looks incredible. Leopard was created in 4 sections with each section using 4 stencils before she worked into it more free hand. The mural connects to the mural on the front and joins the works. Painted over 3 full days from 9am to 10pm each day. An incredible piece, painted with help from local street artist KMG.

Hama also created a mural on George Street, Aberdeen featuring rats however this has now been demolished (see image gallery).

Hama work demonstrates a reverence for nature and its immediate connection to humanity. In a search for methods to communicate the importance and revival of nature, her stencils intuitively reflect and focus on a sociological approach to greed and human consumption and its direct effect on our natural environment.

Her works are characterised by the use of hand cut, multi-layered stencils witch are applied by spray paint. Her hope is to empower and challenge viewers to come to their own conclusions and to rethink the choices they make which effect today and tomorrow.

In contrast to the important message the individual pieces bring to life, her art comes with a certainty of playfulness and joy. Something that without a doubt brings colour to the streets of Aberdeen.
