"Aberdeen Inspired fully support the Scottish Government’s national guidelines and route map set out for easing Scotland's coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions and we expect both businesses and the public to follow these in the interests of public safety.“We all have a responsibility to act in the best interests of the city and communities we live and work in. In line with the national guidelines we support the decision for people to go out and about and return safely to eat and drink in city centre pubs and restaurants and for these establishments to reopen.
“However customers must visit these places safely and follow the guidelines using the hygiene procedures put in place, track and trace system and adhere to the physical distancing measures set out by the Scottish Government. It goes without saying that people should go out and about and behave in a manner that gives respect and consideration to others. We all need to use a common sense approach and where, for example, customers can see and are told that an establishment is at capacity they should respect this information and avoid lingering in queues.
“Scotland has done well to suppress the COVID-19 virus but it has not gone away and everyone has a responsibility to act sensibly and take any necessary precautions to keep themselves and others safe.”
Adrian Watson, Chief Executive, Aberdeen Inspired.
