Birkwood Bespoke specialises in crafting unique home decor and small furnishings using hardwoods sourced from windblown or felled trees for safety reasons. From coasters and decorations to serving boards and tables, Birkwood Bespoke offers a range of bespoke wood and resin items. This week, you can support Steven at Curated In The Quad from the 24th-26th November.
WHO IS BEHIND BIRKWOOD BESPOKE?
Can you tell us more about you and why you set up the company?
There were trees cut down from my garden due to their close proximity to nearby buildings, rather than turn them into firewood I wanted to try and make something that would last a lifetime. I found great satisfaction in being creative, thus began Birkwood Bespoke.
Can you tell us about the products you are selling at Curated In The Quad?
I create a variety of bespoke wood and resin items such as coasters and placemats, serving trays, seasonal gifts and memorial encapsulations. All of my products are made by myself in Aberdeenshire using locally sourced materials where possible.
Why did you decide to take part in this year’s Curated In The Quad?
As a small start-up business, I am trying to extend my customer base and I felt this would be a great opportunity to do so. Additionally, I really like that all the proceeds go to a charitable cause.
What are you looking forward to at Curated In The Quad?
I always love interacting with others and I feel being at this venue there will be a wide cross section of people to meet. I love this time of year and I'm looking forward to the festive atmosphere.
What’s your message to people coming to Curated In The Quad?
I hope everyone coming here finds some enjoyment and I hope I can enhance the festive atmosphere.
