“We all understand the current challenges to the high street and the need for us to work together to deliver on our aspirations. To a great extent, this is predicated on business confidence and investment on this scale which has been made by local operators is a great example and a real boost to the heart of Aberdeen city centre.”
Allan Henderson, Director of The McGinty’s Group, said: “We are delighted to officially open The Esslemont and Mac’s Pizzeria. This project has been our biggest to date and it has been amazing to see the building transform into our vision whilst bringing this iconic building back to life. With two concepts in the one building, we are aiming to appeal to a wide audience whilst creating something new and exciting for the city, importantly helping to reinvigorate our main thoroughfare Union Street.”
Mechelle Clark, director of Melt, added : “We’re delighted at Melt to be opening our second venue in the city and in such a great area of the city. Seeing the city change over the last 5 years has been a joy and it’s great that Aberdeen’s now in a position to provide a home for businesses like mine who try to keep it moving in the right direction.”
