This August five of the team are also gearing up to don their running shoes and pound the streets of the city centre for the Great Aberdeen Run! Wish us luck, we think we might need it...

Local businesses urged to think green and reduce environmental impact
Aberdeen Inspired is urging local businesses to sign up to a food waste initiative in the city centre. The Business Improvement District is working with Keenan Recycling and EIS Waste Services to provide a cost effective option for businesses within the BID with the aim of increasing recycling and reducing waste to landfill. Inspired Nights on The Green - July
At the end of July we hosted our fourth Inspired Nights on The Green of the summer! The team could not have asked for better weather over the weekend and we reported an outstanding 12,500 visits to the market over the course of the the three days. The star-studded line-up for the Aberdeen International Comedy Festival has now been released! From the ridiculous to the nostalgic and everything in-between, the programme has something for all tastes. The chase is now on for fans to grab their tickets with quiz show professional Paul Sinha leading the big names joining the festival. Aberdeen Inspired backs Friends of Anchor for Great Aberdeen Run
Aberdeen Inspired are donning their running shoes later this month to raise funds for Friends of Anchor. A team from the business organisation have been in training for the Great Aberdeen Run 10K, which is expected to bring thousands of people into the city centre. We are aiming to raise as much as possible for FOA's £2m ANCHORED Together appeal for The ANCHOR Centre, which is set to open in 2021. Click here to read more here

Nuart Walking Tours 2019

Our free guided walking tours run weekly every Thursday (6pm), Saturday (1pm) and selected Sundays (1pm) until the end of September. Join our expert guides for a walking experience unlike any other. This is your chance to take in the new pieces produced during Nuart Aberdeen 2019, along with smaller, hidden art treasures, well known works from previous Nuart editions, and hear the talking points behind this year’s festival. Footway Advertising Signs 'A Boards'
Aberdeen City Council have asked that their policy on footway advertising signs (A Boards) be circulated due to the risk to pedestrians, particularly those with sight impairment. These signs must not occupy the adopted footway and should be within your building frontage. Aberdeen City Council will take action under the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, Section 59, to remove signs which contravene this legislation.

Aberdeen International Comedy Festival teams up with Mental Health Aberdeen
We are delighted to announce that Mental Health Aberdeen has come on board as the official charity partner for Aberdeen International Comedy Festival 2019. The charity carries out incredible work across Aberdeen and the wider north-east and we know it will be a cause close to many people’s hearts. The charity will have a presence across all of the shows during the festival and we’re sure we can count on the generosity of the public to help make a difference to such a worthy cause. Visit Aberdeenshire - Delegate Offers
The Aberdeen Convention & Events Bureau have developed a delegate offer scheme to help conference delegates make the most of their stay in the city. If you would like to submit any offers and events for this scheme they will be listed on the Visit Aberdeenshire website and will be promoted to all delegates in the city attending these events.
